HELP

The weeks before WOD LA is always pretty crazy.  The stress and workload has been piling up.  I thank God that I have a PT job at eclectic, because I’m putting a lot of my finances into creating an amazing collection for RAD.  God has been good and has provided a lot thus far.  I pray that he makes a way when there doesn’t seem to be a way.  I’m grateful that he put Martha in my life.  She has been a blessing with doing seamstress work.  I pray that God blesses her with an abundance of your love and mercy Lord.  I pray over her children, that they may one day serve you and truly see the miracles of a walk with God.  I pray this in Jesus’ name.  Amen!

Father, I ask for your help this week.  I pray for a smooth production, and that all of my orders go through and on a timely schedule.  I also ask for your help with Cathy’s babysitting.  Amen!

Man of Prayer – Daniel

It’s weird to think that there is a formula for prayer.  But I think more than often it’s easy to just keep it simple.  Pray to God, Thank him, praise him, and glorify his name.

Daniel 6:10-13 – Daniel was in the lion’s den.  got on his knees and gave thanks before God.

Daniel 9:3-4,17-23 – Daniel said God was AWESOME!  He fasted, made confession.  While praying, he was given SKILL to UNDERSTAND.

I think it is vital to know WHY you are praying sometimes.  It give clarity and vision to the promises of God.  It’s obviously not super easy if it takes SKILL.  I pray that I emulate great men of God like Daniel, and be given the skill to understand.  Amen!

Blessed be the name of God forever and ever.

For wisdom and might are His.

And he changes the times and the seasons.

He removes kings and raises up kings

He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding.

He reveals deep secret things

He knows what is in the darkness, and light dwells with Him.

I thank You and praise You, O God of my fathers

You have given me wisdom and might, and have now made known to me what we asked of You,

For You have made known to us the king’s demand.

Imma try and disect this prayer.

1. God first,forever and ever

2. Gave him props

3. Glorified his power

4. Honored his compassion

5. Reminds us how much he really knows.  EVERYTHING!

6. Thanks and Praises

7. Gives God credit for his own accomplishments

8. Let us know the king’s demand.

6.

God’s Promises

My brother-in-law introduced me to this Christian Rapper, Andy Mineo.  I was a little hesitant to take his opinion on rap music.  However, I regret that hesitation completely.  The Andy Mineo pandora station kills it.  Thank you Jesus for blessing people like Andy Mineo.  I’m grateful for the ability to still appreciate hip hop in a different light.

Andy rapped about forgiveness.  This intrigued me.  I pray that God teaches me more on the subject of forgiveness.  In the name of Jesus I pray.  Amen!

John 15:16 – You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.

  • Jesus speaks of loving one another, loving our friends, and that his love will remain in us.
  • It is Jesus’ commandment to be fruitful with our LOVE.

1 John 5:14,15 – Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.

  • Praying with confidence can assure that God is listening.  When you know that God is listening, you know that God’s will be done.

Matthew 17:20-21 – So Jesus said to them, Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, Move from here to there, and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.  However, this kind does not go out excpet by prayer and fasting.

  • Understanding God’s purpose, will, power, and provision while praying is important.  You can now accurately understand God’s authority.  You can do anything with God on your side.  Anything is possible.  Moving mountains!

God’s Promises (cont’d)

God be the Glory!  Gotta give God the credit for everything.  He gave me the strength to get up, the good attitude to start my day of fresh, and the ability to pray for others.  I pray that my cousin Erik and his family prosper because of a future new found belief in the Lord Jesus Christ.  Amen!

Matthew 7:7-8 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.  For everyone who asks and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.”

John 14:13-14 “And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.  If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.”

Praying with intention has become a light in my path.  It gives clarity to my understanding of WHY I pray for what I pray for.  Clarity is the key to unlocking God’s wisdom and holy spirit over my life.  It is a blessing to receive any type of gift from God.  Most of all, when you are filled with the Holy Spirit, I feel that nothing can stop you.  For if God be for me, than No one can be against me!  Amen!

God’s Promises

Today is a great day to worship God.  My wife recently prayed for me.  This was her first time ever praying for me in front of me.  She prayed for my cold to go away.  God is being good, because I feel a LOT better.  Normally I’m sick for weeks, but it has only been a day or two, and I’m almost at 100%.

Yesterday was my first time going to Life Group at Knott Ave.  Derrick invited me into his group with open arms and asked that all I bring is an open heart.  It was a great time for learning and breaking the ice.  He prayed for me as well.  It’s been a while since people have prayed for me in that setting.  I’m happy and filled with a new sense of beginnings.  I pray that God keeps lifting me to higher places, and his will be done.  Amen!

Jeremiah 33:3

“Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.”

  • Positive assurance from God if we will call on him.  He will answer us in ways that will astound us.

Romans 10:13

“For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved”

  • When God says whoever… he means WHOEVER.  There is no discrimination to black, white, yellow or purple.  He is a universal in his application.
